Happy Whale Card

Playing around some more with a Baby Wipe (Striped Wipe) technique.   I hadn't played with the Happy Whale Clearlit Die yet, and instantly thought about making an underwater scene for the whales to "swim" in.
Hope you like the card!!

I didn't have any Pacific Point ribbon so I decided to make my own.   It's VERY easy to do!   All you need is a Stampin' Spritzer, Rubbing Alcohol (70%) and an ink refill.   My favorite ribbon to die is the White Organza ribbon -- it "takes " the ribbon very nicely (and evenly) and dries quickly.   Below is a before and after picture.

Stampin Up! Products:
Stamps:  Oh,Whale!
Cardstock:  Pacific Point, Basic Gray
Paper:  Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper, Red Glimmer Paper, and Glossy White Paper
Ink: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and Black Stazon
Accessories:  Labels Framelits, Organza Ribbon (dyed), Rhinestones, Happy Whale Clearlit, Small Heart Punch

Collage Curios Soda Pop Tops

Finally got to play with the new Soda Pop Tops (#129388) in the Spring Mini Catalog.   I used the Big Shot to "smash" them down -- OH WHAT FUN!!!   LOL.    The Collage Curios stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Pop Tops when using the 1" circle punch.   I used the paper from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper on the card as Sale-a-brations will be ending on March 22, 2013 (SAD FACE).   I stamped the Flowering Flourishes stamps in Island Indigo to give the paper some "pop".

My Monthly Club will be making the card this coming weekend.   Enjoy!

Secret Garden Puzzle Piece Resist

Had so much fun making the last Puzzle Piece Resist card, that I HAD to go to my craft room and make another one.   It works perfectly with The Ribbon Carousel Blog "Spring in the Air" (RCC78) Challenge.

I had to run the card stock through the Big Shot twice -- 1st time was with the flowers and the 2nd time was for the leaves/stem to get the look I wanted.  I probably should have given the smaller flower some leaves too, but didn't want to "compromise" the card front too much.    Hope you enjoy and try this technique sometime!!

Stampin’ UP! introduces NEW Photopolymer Stamps! 100% Clear Photopolymer Stamps!
Do you like choices? I know I do! Well, Stampin’ Up is now going to have a 3rd type of stamp to enjoy – Wood, Clear and now Photopolymer!

Photopolymer Main

What makes them so great?
  • They’re entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don’t worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They’re age tested. They won’t yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we’ll let you try them for yourself.
View the PDF about it all here.

The Fine Print
  • Photopolymer stamps will be offered on a trial basis. Based on popularity, we hope to release more photopolymer stamp sets over the coming months. At this time we don’t plan on offering a line of photopolymer sets as expansive as our wood-mount and clear-mount lines.
  • Not available in wood-mount or clear-mount.
  • All photopolymer will be packaged in cello bag w/insert, but don’t forget you can store them in our clear cases.
