Open Sea Masking Card

Almost forgot to post my last sample for my upcoming classes.   This is a modified case card from Pinterest (sorry forgot who made the original).    This card is very simple to make but just LOVE the final product.  I added a crumb cake card base where the original used Very Vanilla.

Masking doesn't always have to be used with a stamp and/or image.   You can mask over a portion of your cardstock and sponge/stamp inside or around the masked area.  Don't you love this technique?

I think my Stampin Ladies will really enjoy making this card.   I typically do not make two masculine cards in one class, but I just HAD to make this card.  Are you as excited as I am that The Open Sea stamp set is not retiring?!?!?  :)  They will have a choice of making it Father's Day, Birthday or Thank you card.   Another reason I like this card, very easy to change the occasion.

Hope you enjoy my project!

Nuts about You - FMS142

Playing along with the weekly Sketch Challenge from Freshly Made Sketches Blog.    I had a lot of fun making this card!!    As much as I love the coordinating stamps and framelits, sometimes you just need to stamp and handcut the images out.    I stamped the tree from the Hostess Stamp Set (Nuts about You) in Pear Pizzazz on the Whisper White cardstock, and than again in Chocolate Chip (on a scrap piece of cardstock) and cut the brown tree out and put on dimensionals.   I used a scallop punch as my "mask" to make the clouds in the sky.

I hope you enjoy my project!

Stampin Up! Products:
Stamps:  Nuts about You (Hostess)
Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, Baked Brown Sugar, Real Red

Sponged Wetlands Card

Finally finished my last sample for my October Classes!   Was asked to do a sponging technique by one of my Stampin Ladies using the Wetlands Stamp Set (one of our new favorites)!     Here is what I came up with -- it is a very simple card, but sometimes you just need a "simple" card.    Just need a framelit, ink, sponges/daubers and an extra piece of sturdy cardstock!

Stampin Up! Products:
Stamps:  Wetlands
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla
Ink:  Soft Sky, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso
Accessories:  Soft Sky Seam Binding, Oval Framelits, and Sponge Daubers (or sponges if you prefer those).

Lovely as a Tree Reflection - CASED

I just LOVE the cards that Michelle Zindorf (Freedom in Creating Blog) creates with her brayer and sponging techniques.  I am FINALLY using the Brayer as my Monthly Technique for my Club this month and HAD to use this card Michelle made back in Fall 2012.    I will be honest and say that I haven't "played" with the brayer as much as I should being a demonstrator until now!  OMG -- SO much fun!!  :)

Enjoy the card!

Stampin Up! Products:
Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree
Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Whisper White
Ink:  Pool Party, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Chocolate Chip

Getting some Stamping Time in this weekend!!  :)    Starting off with a Sketch Challenge from Seize the Birthday.

I have had this stamp set for a while now, and FINALLY pulled it out the play with.   I love the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad (#126857) and the effect it gives for the "Space".   I also layered the Silver Glimmer paper to give the Moon two-tones (hope it comes through clearly in the picture).    Hope you like the card!

Button Buddies - PCCCS#31

Another great sketch challenge from Paper Craft Crew Challenges blog.

I FINALLY broke down and bought the Button Buddies stamp set (I have been wanting for months now)!!!    The flower in the stamp set is almost perfect for the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, so I used the punch as my "mask".  The set "calls" for the use of buttons, but decided to use the In Color Dahlias instead and I think it finished the card of nicely.

Stampin Up! Products:
Stamps:  Button Buddies and Curly Cute
Cardstock:  Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Whisper White
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals
