Nuts about You - FMS142

Playing along with the weekly Sketch Challenge from Freshly Made Sketches Blog.    I had a lot of fun making this card!!    As much as I love the coordinating stamps and framelits, sometimes you just need to stamp and handcut the images out.    I stamped the tree from the Hostess Stamp Set (Nuts about You) in Pear Pizzazz on the Whisper White cardstock, and than again in Chocolate Chip (on a scrap piece of cardstock) and cut the brown tree out and put on dimensionals.   I used a scallop punch as my "mask" to make the clouds in the sky.

I hope you enjoy my project!

Happy Blooming Birthday - Flower Patch

Here is a sample for my July classes; I was so excited to see Stamp set in the catalog!    My excitement got even bigger when I saw it was available as a Bundle with the coordinating framelits (Flower Fair) for a saving of 15%!!   There are so many things you can do with this stamp set and framelits.
The Photopolymer set is very easy to use and is perfect for Two-Step stamping.   Makes it extremely easy to line up the 2nd stamp; but you can still use the Stamp-a-ma-jig (#101049; $11.95) if you are more comfortable.
Since all the stamps have a coordinating framelit, if you are smart with your stamping, you can cut almost all the pieces needed for this card with one "run" through the big shot; excluding the leaves.   For the leaves, I used Old Olive ink; I "stamped off" for the base of the leaves to give it a lighter look than stamped with the leaves with a freshly inked stamp.   The flowers are two different colors, but you could do the same process if you wanted too.

I hope my stamping ladies like this project and are excited to make it next month!  :)

A Little Kindness - CASE'd

This card is a CASE (copy and share everything) from the Stampin' Success Demonstrator Magazine we receive every two months.   The Kinda Eclectic Stamp set was on my wish list, but I HAD to order once I saw this sample.    I am using this card for my All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack, being held the end of July.   This set is so versatile and I love the simplicity of the card -- just a card base but lots of ink.   Goes to show you don't need tons of product to make an amazing card!!

Stamps:  Kinda Eclectic
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Tangerine Tango
Paper: Flower Pot Designer Series Paper

Happy Birthday Masculine Fun Fold - Modified Case

Saw this fun fold masculine card on Pinterest (from Stamp Your Art Out blog).   Once I saw it, I knew I had to make one of my own.   This is a modified case for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack in July.   It is super easy to make, take a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of card stock and score on the 11" side at 5 1/5 and 2 3/4 to make the card base.   The Real Red pieces measure 4 x 2.  I took  two (2) pieces 4 x 1 7/8" Designer Series Paper and cut at an angle.   You can cut two pieces at a time, just make sure they are "opposite" side up in design (example, one had navy side up and the other had the white side up) - this will ensure your pieces are cut at the same angle.

I am sure my Stampin Ladies will enjoy making this card, and who doesn't love a "different" fold to send a loved one?!?!?   :)

Enjoy my project!

Be The Star You Are - FMS140

LOVE the Sketch Challenge from Freshly Made Sketches Blog this week.    The moment I saw it, I knew I was going for my masking tape and ink pads!    I decided to use the new Stamp Set (Be The Star) and Star Framelits from the New Annual Catalog.    I was going to use the New In Colors (Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist) but they were too dark for the card, so I went for my Brights (Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie).     I wanted to make sure the sentiment was placed perfectly inside the star, so I pulled out my Stamp-a-ma-jig (A MUST HAVE TOOL).

I hope you enjoy my project!!

Sea Street Waterfall Card

Here is my last sample for my June Classes.   I love the waterfall card technique, so fun and interactive!!  Pull on the ribbon and make secret messages or images appear!  When I saw the Sea Street stamp set, that is one of the first things I thought about making with it.   Instead of stamping on all four square, I used some of the Maritime Designer Series Paper and LOVE LOVE LOVE the final project!     Hope you enjoy it!

Sweetbriar Rose Whitewashing Card

Another sample for my June classes -- this card is a Joy Fold Card with a Whitewashing technique .   This is a simple folding technique with plenty of possibilities.    I decided to use the new Gold Soiree Designer Specialty Paper.   This paper is simply AMAZING. . .  each page features Metallic Gold ink.

The Whitewashing technique is a lot of fun and simple.   You emboss an image with white embossing powder, color the image in with a white chalk marker, and than highlight with ink and an aqua-painter or blender pen.

I hope you enjoy my Project!

Kind Koala - Thinking of You

Working on my samples for my June classes.    With so many new amazing stamp sets, I am having a hard time narrowing down what I want to use. . . . .  Such a bad situation to be in!!  LOL.    Luckily I do three projects at my classes and I have a Stamp-a-Stack scheduled in July so lots of creating to get to!  :)

I love this Single Stamp set -- Kind Koala. . . . . so stinking cute!!   I paired the stamp up with our new Lullaby Designer Series Paper.   This paper is not only for Baby cards as the name may lead you to think, the colors and patterns are very versatile.

I did a simple layout, inspired by the latest sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches (I didn't get a card made in time to submit this week).  Even if you don't "play" along with sketch challenges online, they are a great inspiration for card layouts!

Hope you enjoy my project!

Flower Patch Thank You - MOJO348

Got to play with my new stamps, paper, etc. today.  Playing along with the Sketch Challenge at Mojo Monday Blog.   The Paper is Park Lane Designer Series Paper -- I LOVE the coordinating colors in it; I used Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.   I wasn't sure how I would like the Photopolymer set - Flower Patch - but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.   I bought it as a bundle (Flower Patch Stamp Set and Flower Fair Framelits) and saved myself 15%!!

Hope you like my project and take on the Sketch!
