Open Sea Birthday - FMS124

Happy Hump Day!!!

Playing along with one of my Favorite Sketch Challenge Blogs -- Freshly Made Sketches.   When I saw the sketch I was going to do something with flowers and/or Spring themed, but than spied my World Map Background Stamp and the light bulb went on.    I love the technique that the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog demonstrates on page 23; gently dragging the ink pad over cardstock to create a multi-colored background.

I hope you enjoy my Project!

Hello You! - TSSC302

Saw this Sketch Challenge from TechnoStampers Blog and wanted to play along.    Once I spied the sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Regarding Dahlias stamp set.   So I pulled out my Embossing Powder and Heat Tool and started to work.  After embossing the image, I took my Aqua Painters and Ink pads and water-colored the Dahlia.   LOVE!

We have had so much snow here recently, I am pulling out all my BRIGHT SPRING colors to "will" on warmer weather (hope it works).    The Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (#132994 $10.95) is my favorite in the Occasional Catalog -- there isn't one sheet I don't love!

We don't have any solid Tangerine Tango Ribbon, so I decided to make my own!   I colored the 5/8" Organza Ribbon (Whisper White) with my Sponge Dauber and Ink pad.   You can also use our Stampin Spritzer (with rubbing alcohol and reinkers) to color it as well.   The ribbon really does "take" the color wonderfully with either coloring technique.

Hope you like my Project!

Banner Blast - FMS123

Decided to play along with the Sketch Challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.   I wanted to do something different and "out of my box".   Not sure if I am in love with my card, but wanted to share it with you.

The cardfront was covered in the Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape (Occasional Catalog #133000 $4.95).  I than took the Banner Punch from the Sale-a-brations Catalog and punched it three (3) times.   Next I embossed three (3) images from the Banner Blast Stamp Set (Sale-a-brations catalog) in Gold Embossing powder, punched them out and mounted them on the cardfront with a dimensional.   I wrapped the Gold Sequin Trim around the "washi tape cardstock".  I than mounted the Washi Tape cardfront onto a Gold Foil Sheet with dimensionals which was adhered to a Very Vanilla Cardbase.

I hope you enjoy my project!

Stamps:  Banner Blast (Sale-a-brations)
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Sheet

Tag Topper Card Closure

Saw this folding/punching technique on Pinterest and knew I had to try it.   Click here to view the video tutorial.   Please note you will have to adjust the scoring for US measurements -- score at 4 1/4" as you would to make a standard A2 card.

This will definitely be making an appearance at a future class of mine!  What a special card to make and send to someone!

Love the saying on the front of the card?   I do. . . . it's from the Starburst Sayings set from the Occasional Catalog.   You can save 15% if you were to buy the stamp set with the coordinating framelits (Wood #134817 $44.95 or Clear #134818 $38.95)

By The Tide Birthday - MOJO332

Saw this Sketch Challenge from Mojo Monday and decided to play along.   I have to tell you, I just LOVE the New Tag Topper Punches from the Occasional Catalog (Angled #133323 & Scalloped #133324 - $22.95 each).   Made the card extremely easy to make finish!
I made a Masculine card, because I never seem to have one around when I need it.   The By The Tide Set is perfect for Masculine cards too.   I hand cut the fish and circle, and glad I took the time because it adds great dimension on the card.  I know framelits and punches make things go "quicker" but I don't mind spending time hand cutting images out to get the look I want.

I hope you enjoy my project!

Stamps:  By the Tide and Itty Bitty Banners

Gingham Garden Pop Up Box Card

Here is another amazing tutorial card from SplitcoastStampers; it's call the Pop Up Card Box.   The card looks complicated to make, but I would recommend watching the tutorial video a few times as well as printing out the instructions.   My card came together pretty easily thanks to my Stampin Trimmer.   This card does fold flat for mailing but is larger than the standard A2 size, so you will need a larger envelope, but again Stampin Up! has the solution with our Envelope Punch Board.

I look forward to making more of these awesome Pop Up Box Cardsd -- My club members will be making my project at this month's gathering.

Blessed Easter Love -- Modified Case

A friend of mine needed an Anniversary card for her hubby and while I was on Splitcoaststampers for some inspiration, I found what I was looking for (card by OSusanna).   I modified the card by excluding the scalloped edge, adding ribbon and changing the Sentiment.
The tulips are stamped twice, one set was cut out and "popped up" with a dimensional.   Love the effect -- really finishes the card nicely!

The Sentiment is from the Best of Love Stamp Set.   Don't forget you only have until March 31, 2014 to purchase any of the "Best Of. . " sets.   They only come in Clear Mount and are only $14.95.   For EVERY 6 Best of sets you purchase, you can earn a FREE stamp set (value up to $14.95) from the Main Catalog OR Occasional Catalog.   Collection cards must be received at Stampin Up! by April 30, 2014.   To view all Best Of stamps click here

I hope you like my take on the card!
